ACADEMICS & ACTIVITY CALENDAR

THE CURRICULUM

In Falconhouse Grammar School, the curriculum has been so framed, that the individual child is the core of the whole programme. An atmosphere of relaxed, easy human relationship between the children and the teachers pervades the classroom. The children are encouraged to get involved in the exciting adventure of learning experience through discussion, enquiry and experimentation.

ACADEMIC YEARS

Academic years, during which the children are resident and in attendance at the school, extend normally, from April to March (Secondary System) and August to July (Cambridge System).

  • SECONDARY SYSTEM

    (APRIL TO MARCH)

  • CAMBRIDGE SYSTEM

    (AUGUST TO JULY)

TEACHING METHODS

Since the student is the core of the system, the methods adopted by the teachers relate directly to more effective learning, generating a warm and cordial atmosphere, wherein the seeds of learning are gently prodded into flowering.

Obsolete methods have given way to more child-centered ones. Active Learning is encouraged. Well-equipped laboratories ensure learning by experimentation. Students are encouraged to undertake projects, conduct seminars and deliver presentations as each lesson concludes.
